Let's call 'em smart-assed indie-pop with a hint of swagger. Those of you who are on eMusic can now check em out low-risk-stylee on a recent live recording: http://www.emusic.com/album/10870/10870511.html I'm betting after you listen to "Is This On" or "Alaska" or "Plan to Stay Awake" you'll want to go buy the albums they're on so you can hear what the songs really sound like. Somebody spozedly well-known from Hoboken joins 'em on "The Medication's Gone" too, but I can't tell who from listening. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 6 Oct 2005 11:18:51 -0500 From: Jeff Subject: Re: [loud-fans] (in)audible On 10/6/05, don't mine me wrote: > Not only have I been boosting Audible (on Polyvinyl) for a while as a > possibly Scottfan-friendly act, but I also keep stumping for Austin's > Deathray Davies (on Glurp) and not just because lead singer Dufilho sounds a > bit like Chris Stamey. Any of those Yo La Tengo folks? (I haven't heard it yet - am at "work"...) - -- ...Jeff The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.blogspot.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 6 Oct 2005 22:36:47 -0700 (PDT) From: Phil Fleming Subject: Re: [loud-fans] Miscellaneous Debris I was surprised how good this record was... considering it was more or less rush-recorded and released...
