Uh, "hurrah!" in Jethro Tull's "War Child," say. - -- ...Jeff The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.blogspot.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 26 Jul 2005 10:02:06 -0700 (PDT) From: "Tim Walters" Subject: Re: [loud-fans] slow news day Neil Diamond, "Cracklin' Rosie": "Play it now, play it now" ELP, "Karn Evil 9": "We've got thrills and shocks" (band drops out sharply on the word "shocks") ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 26 Jul 2005 12:21:06 -0500 From: Chris Prew Subject: Re: [loud-fans] since nothing else is going on here... Stacey brought home a Yellow Pills comp. cd (vol 4), and there's a LF song on there that I've never heard, or even heard about (unless it has been mentioned here before, and I just like...forgot). Anyway, Chicago and Miss Jovan's Land-O-Mat is the title and it is sooooo nice to hear a "new" Scott tune! It's a crazy song with Joe, Kenny and Paul. On this particular pop comp., it really stands out like a sore thumb, but is by far the best thing on there. Very cool. Anyway: Yes, I like that song a lot, although it wouldn't have fit at all on IBC. Too bad it ended up on a comp on a dead label (if I'm not mistaken)... I forget what else is on there (that's not the YP w/Anton Barbeau's "Octagon" is it? I have two YP comps) but that says something, doesn't it... - -- ...Jeff The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.blogspot.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 26 Jul 2005 19:52:45 -0700 (PDT) From: "Joseph M. Not a bad place to be right now, weather-wise. Actually here in the Bay area, the fog has rolled in and brrrrr....I may put a wrap on! It is the one with Octagon. I like the Chris Von Sneidern song too, but after a while, it all sorta blends in together. One of the most stress-inducing tapes is a recording of babies crying inconsolably. Another is a Yoko Ono album." Hmm, and I thought Woody was playing that scene for a laugh.... mm ------------------------------ End of loud-fans-digest V5 #181 *******************************
