I do, however, like it better that Terror Twilight. Doug S. - ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 24 Jun 2005 21:57:17 -0700 From: "Bradley Skaught" Subject: Re: [loud-fans] Mid-year Top Tens? Pig Lib was a really good record, but it took a while to grow on me (my initial reaction: "guitar jams! the fuck?"), while Face The Truth got me right away. FTT is also much more like classic Pavement, at least in spirit. Pig Lib sounds like Malkmus finally figured out what he was trying to do on Terror Twilight and his mediocre first solo album. a ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Jun 2005 09:18:59 -0700 (PDT) From: "Pete O." I guess I'll take the minority opinion here--I loved TT, and like it better than all of his solo albums. (Should TT be included as a pseudo-solo album?) Pig Lib felt like a rehash of TT, but I still quite like Pig Lib since there was, for me, an awful lot worth rehashing. As for FTT, it's growing on me more than I expected. It doesn't quite have the groove I liked from the earlier albums, but the hooks are still there. "Freeze the Saints" is so far my favorite track. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Jun 2005 15:38:40 -0400 From: Jenny Grover Subject: Re: [loud-fans] eMusic alert Richard Blatherwick wrote: > Thanks to Roger and dc for reminding me about this - I also got this a > few months back, but it was in the car when I was tripping CDs I got > over Xmas, so I've not heard it in ages. > If you were tripping in the car, I hope you weren't driving!
