Subject: [loud-fans] QAF lookalikes

My ex-boss is a devoted QUEER AS FOLK follower, and she's had me over to  
watch season 4 and now season 5 every week (I've no cable), and, though I find  
the show riddled with cliches, sexually unrealistic and too brassy at  times 
(it could make "Caligula blush"), I've found myself getting into it  like I did 
with GENERAL HOSPITAL in high school.  To the  show's credit, they have some 
excellent music on there every now and again  (I heard an excellent version of 
Haircut 100's "Fantastic Day" last  season).  What amuses me is how much my 
fave character, Lindsay, looks  almost exactly like Aimee Mann.  My second 
favorite character, Ted, looks  eerily like Stephin Merritt.  I certainly can't be 
the only one who has  noticed the similarity.  The character of Brian has to 
have some of the  best comedic lines on television at the moment.
