I didn't recognize anything new. It was heavy on the METAL CORNER, and light on the JELLY DONUTS. At live shows I tend to get lost in the details sometimes (I had a table just to Shalin's left with nobody in front of me) and I can lose time just watching how a drummer plays his set or how a guitarist plays chords and such. I found myself doing that a lot. Mitch's southern fried '70s influenced guitar noodlings can definitely mesmerize you. Mitch seemed surprised I knew you. He was like, "How do you know him?" Then he wanted to know if I'd ever met you in person. I'll get in touch with Joe again at the station and remind him about that recording. - --Mark np The Hang Ups s/t p.s. He has said that the deluxe reissues were only for the ones who missed it the first time around... but only 5 months previous?? Gimme a break. THE DELIVERY MAN is a good record... but not THAT good!
