I placed an order last week, so I should get it soon. I'll buy anything those guys put out, but i'm hoping it will be good. I thought they actually got their act together on that last tour--the harmonies were there and they weren't skipping key riffs just because they didn't have the right guitar player! Speaking of music DVDs, i'm enjoying the Oasis Definitely Maybe DVD. I don't have a home theater set-up to appreciate the re-mix, but the documentary stuff is really fun and the live tracks are cool. I love the format--when you press play it plays the entire album beginning to end in fancy new DVD sound, but at any point during the songs you can switch to live footage of that song being performed or the section of the documentary that deals with that track. I think I need to re-watch some of it with subtitles, though, for some of the interviewees--the Gallagher brothers aren't even the hardest to understand! It's an interesting thing to watch as an American, too, because the album was such a minor event on our musical landscape compared to the collossal hype and sales in England. It's spoken of the same way folks might talk about Nirvana's Nevermind here. B - --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Please give a review when it arrives; I put off ordering it since I don't have much interest in live albums in general, and rarely watch the DVDs that have come with my recent CD/DVD packages (Jeff Buckley, Tori Amos). Does it include their Pretenders cover? Also, the Emm Gryner album is available for pre-order at the expected URL. Michael - --------------------- Michael W. Glad about the not having to resubmit, as I'm at the tobacco/coffee shop I haunt, using their computer to check e-s because I lost another gerbil last night when booting my computer (I had to flush its horribly charred corpse down the toilet), and the aging, intense beige beast is in the shop 'til some vague future date, I think the end of the week. "Staples," eh? Haven't been called that since ninth grade gym, - --Mark ------------------------------ End of loud-fans-digest V5 #3 *****************************
