By my own rationale that you can't fairly judge a movie unless you watch it all the way through, that makes this year's worst movie...shoot...did THE LOST SKELETON OF CADAVRA play Seattle this year? It did. Man, has it been a long year. Discussion and sometimes debate about allegedly good movies here: http://villagevoice.com/take/six/ Still getting BEYOND THE SEA and THE SEA INSIDE mixed up (watching one would probably help), Andy "There was more, much more, of course, including me firing a .44 magnum at point blank into the back of a man's head and basically blowing off the top half of his face (he'd been staring at me while I was trying to urinate with a hard-on - - it's complicated). Then there were all these schoolkids in the bathroom and I was trying to explain to them what had happened." - --Sam Franklin, describing one of his dreams ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 29 Dec 2004 14:05:07 -0600 From: Chris Prew Subject: Re: [loud-fans] Movies Since we're on movies, I will reiterate the frequently raised opinion that "The Incredibles" was a brilliant movie. It and "Eternal Sunshine" are at the top of my list for the year. Avoid taking young kids. My 3 year old got _really_ fidgety for about 45 minutes in the middle. She dug the ending though. I don't own that many DVDs, but I had to have "Eternal Sunshine." I'd like to see Shrek II (but only saw parts of Shrek) because Jennifer Saunders does the voice of the Fairy Godmother. Waiting to borrow it from my ABFAB lovin' friend girl. I think MELVIN GOES TO DINNER was the best film I saw this year. - --Mark ------------------------------ End of loud-fans-digest V4 #346 *******************************
