Yes he did, on Monday 4/12 at the Rite Spot Cafe in S.F., with Alison Faith Levy and Victor Krummenacher. I'd never been to the Rite Spot before, it's a italian restaurant/bar in the south of Mission (17th and Folsom) with red walls and supper club lighting, so all the performers played in the dark. Scott was in the middle slot and played the following twelve songs on his Guild 12-string. 720 Times Happier Than the Unjust Man What In The World (David Bowie) Screwed Over By Stylish Introverts Dee-pression I Think I See The Light (Cat Stevens) Some Grand Visions of Motives and Irony The Last Of The Famous International Playboys (Morrissey) Just Gone This Could Be The Day (Robyn Hitchcock) Life On Mars (David Bowie) 24 I guess that's only eleven songs, but it included not one but two David Bowie covers. Alison joined him on piano for the Cat Stevens song and "Some Grand Visions". It was a fun show, and Scott seemed to be enjoying himself, so maybe he'll play out again sometime soon? Someone named Dinah blogged (has that been verbed yet?) a review of the show at http://www.metagrrrl.com/metagrrrl/2004/04/rite_spot_cafe_.html - -Steve ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 16 Apr 2004 23:16:49 -0700 (PDT) From: Gil Ray Subject: Re: [loud-fans] Hey, didn't Scott play a show this week? Thanks, Steve. I knew we could count on you! Stacey and I and the Bridgewater posse were there, and a good time was had. Really divey looking place, but the food was really good. And Italian. It's always good to see Scott perform. His songs and his voice put me in a good place. Time for new material, though! Speaking of new material, Stacey and I thought Alison's new songs were awesome. Her writing has gotten more concise and hook heavy. She was in fine voice and it all sounded great. Another exciting moment was hearing Scott talking about his recent Pro Tools acquisition. Hmmmm. I see hope! Gil - --- Steve Holtebeck wrote: > Yes he did, on Monday 4/12 at the Rite Spot Cafe in > S.F., with Alison > Faith Levy and Victor Krummenacher.
