Ahh yes.. Anti-Gay Man.. probably 'ex-gay' too! I love those types. These are the ones who freak out the most when they see the slightest of homosexual activity. Mostly afraid to express their extreme desire to do said activity. They make me laugh with all the rhetoric and literature they spew out. > The ones who piss me off, however, are the one who > are spouting off this > brand-new idea that "marriage is for procreation." Sorry to hear that... but I would pay good money for you to stomp their ass.... if I had any good money to pay. Phil F, who has a better opinion of Desaparecidos than Bright Eyes. NP.. The Chipmunks on WMFO (wondering how the hell I'm now part of this station's DJ roster)... now it's Dead Kennedy's "Holiday In Cambodia". __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! I don't know the answer, but like you, I can see there being no need for it going forward, especially after perusing the JOIN THE DOTS track listing. All I know is all the albums are to be reissued in Costello-on-Rhino-style double-disc sets. So if the rest of the JAPANESE WHISPERS stuff ends up on the b-sides/rarities/unrelesed disc of THE TOP, no problem here. If someone has more specific and up-to-date Cure reissue news, please chime in! later, Miles ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 13 Feb 2004 01:27:24 -0600 From: steve Subject: Re: [loud-fans] History of Marriage, redefined. Wait a minute, there are no *new* ideas for fundamentalists, everything is fixed. But only the most hardcore would nullify your marriage. After all, you are just another victim of the fallen world. The philosophical/theological problem of religious marriage for those who can't reproduce has been around for a long time and is pretty much settled. What is novel is the use of MIFP as a slogan/tactic/justification in anti-homosexual politics. You might look at it as a meme going round in the fundamentalist media. As always, I tout Point Of View as a place to get a whiff of the fundamentalist mindset. And just yesterday there was the added comic bonus of John Fund acting morally superior (to anybody). - - Steve (civil marriage, no children) __________ The homosexual activist movement is now closer than it has ever been to administering a devastating and potentially fatal blow to the traditional family.' - James Dobson, Focus on the Family ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 12 Feb 2004 23:28:43 -0800 (PST) From: Phil Fleming Subject: Re: [loud-fans] Postal Parkway etc. - --- "Joseph M. In my opinion, this is the record that CELEBRITY SKIN should have been. AMERICA'S SWEETHEART is definitely more abrasive and considerably less melodic than CS. Just thought CS played like more like a Courtney Love solo record, complete with shiny production and everything. But I like it, didn't expect to. "Hold On To Me" is definitely one of the better songs on the record. Still can't believe Linda Perry (Pink "Get The Party Started", Christina Aguilera "Beautiful")'s fingerprints are all over the record. Didn't think she had something this rough in her. Perhaps AMERICA'S SWEETHEART, combined with Kylie's BODY LANGUAGE, is the reason I can't pay Stewart to beat down some religous-right ass. Phil F.
