A strange place to see them, they don't usually go in for rock, but this will be memorable for the first time seeing them live. The show is sold out. Andrea ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 12 Feb 2004 01:34:10 -0500 (EST) From: Miles Goosens Subject: [loud-fans] for the Ween fans Ween was on my mind today after reviewing the WELCOME INTERSTATE MANAGERS thread (Andy H. j'accuses FOW-dissers of hatin' on humorous music; Ween comes up; it is proven that it is possible to like Ween and not FOW), and speak of the devil, this Ween item was in my inbox tonight, amidst the other items of the Grimey's weekly e-mail update: ============== WEEN - All Request Live LIMITED EDITION -- get yours before they're gone! WEEN have just released a fans-only CD, recorded live in the studio! These were the songs you selected in the Ween Forum Poll. You, the fans, voted for the songs, and the track listing contains songs that we have never performed before or since. Don't blow this opportunity and end up paying $200 later on ebay --- we are one of only a handful of stores across the nation that Ween has allowed to sell this extremely rare CD. PS: Don't forget to also pick up Ween's latest wide-release CD, QUEBEC. ============== Me, I've never owned a Ween album, but didn't mind 'em when they had their moment of critical buzz and semi-ubiquity. And holy mother of God, CHAPPELLE'S SHOW was funny tonight. I haven't laughed so much at a sketch since... dunno, maybe the Upright Citizens Brigade's "Little Donny Disease" show, or maybe even back to the Kids in the Hall. This is right up there. I won't give specifics lest it be spoiled, but there is one long sketch in between the opening "commercial" and the obligatory rap guest shot at the end, and it slayed us, utterly and completely. later, Miles ------------------------------ End of loud-fans-digest V4 #42 ******************************
