Well that looks like a pretty nifty program, and more fun than my current database. Are you adding the non-CD stuff manually, or did you go and buy a scanner to scan the UPCs? I'm way undedicated enough to actually enter in stuff manually... (Oh great - my congestion has progressed to insomnia, so even though I'm on vacation and everyone else is sleepybye, I'm awake typing in the guestroom... However, having just sat through our annual tradition of Bad Sci-Fi Movie - in this case, a mid-seventies Shatner vehicle called _Kingdom of the Spiders_ - that's probably better, to prevent me from having nightmares involving Shatner grabbing a four-year-old girl's butt.) - ------------------------------- ...Jeff J e f f r e y N o r m a n The Architectural Dance Society http://spanghew.blogspot.com/ :: Solipsism is its own reward :: :: --Crow T. I'm doing it all by hand with the help of the actually pretty useful "Search By Artist and Title" feature and the stopwatch function on my cellphone -- what's the point of having the record in the database if you don't have the song times for mix purposes? Of course, you have to remember that for a period of several years, I actually had an up-to-date database of my entire collection on 3x5 cards...should have kept those, they'd be such a timesaver now... I should point out that I do this in bursts of a few albums a week, almost always on Tuesday nights when Charity has dance practice or at three in the morning when I can't sleep. I'm not *that* obsessive. > >(Oh great - my congestion has progressed to insomnia, so even though I'm >on vacation and everyone else is sleepybye, I'm awake typing in the >guestroom... While Riverdancing? Me, I'm just incredibly happy: while I was out running errands earlier today, my bum knee emitted this enormous hideous cracking noise mid-stride. About half an hour later, I was in the produce section at Shaws when I realized, "Huh. My leg doesn't hurt anymore. I can actually bend my right knee fully. Neat!" S NP: I, CLAUDIA -- The Claudia Quintet (if the Bad Plus just aren't doing it for you, this vibes and reeds-led group might be the ticket: it's kind of like what Tortoise would sound like if they actually played jazz when they were playing "jazz.") ------------------------------ End of loud-fans-digest V4 #5 *****************************
