If so, would you be willing to tape it for me? A few of you here know the sordid story of my trying to buy it from Stoopid Records off GEMM (the name says it all, folks). In 14 years of searching, that's the only place I've ever found it, and they done me wrong. This list will appear in the next issue of Entertainment Weekly. Scott in a major Mag? Wow! I queried to the list why Scott and Gil were never asked to sit in on a Golden Palominos album because both have recounted to me being cornered by Anton Fier who is a big fan. I also got a letter from Claudia when The 6th's Wasps Nest was being made asking if Scott would appear on it, but at the time I think Scott never got around to writing back (this was the early 90's before many of us had email, back when it took an effort...at least for me). I know Elliot Smith had also told Scott he was a fan. Gil any more celebrity fan stories ? And I don't mean the Scritti Politti guy showing up back in '85. Did he show up ? Or just waste guest list space. Oh, I just remembered, Johnny Rotten asked me for a copy of Distortion when we were at the CMJ convention in 1985...he was really nice, surprisingly so, but I expect it ended up in a used bin. Likely he would have had something equally brilliant to say. It appears that I am not alone, at least. I ordered my copy at $30. It got cancelled. I asked why and was told it was no longer available. Two days later he had 2 copies listed in the same condition for $57.50. They remain listed to this day.
