I've been really pleased with iTunes sound in either the MP3 or AAC format, but now that I have an iPod and am relying on it more, I notice that Scarlet's Walk sounds muddy and indistinct, at least in 128 bit MP3 or AAC - the difference between it and similar "sounding" records (Rhodesongs, for example, or some Kate Bush stuff) is horrific. If you didn't already, be sure you turn off Sound Enhancer and Sound Check under Preferences / Effects. One or both of those was mangling every fourth or fifth album for me until I disabled them. glenn ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 03 Nov 2003 14:11:47 -0500 From: Jenny Grover Subject: Re: [loud-fans] Does My Members Only Jacket Have Enough Zippers?
