Albums I've downloaded, listened to, and liked enough to keep for awhile: - ------------------------------------------------- Alkaline Trio - Good Mourning Alphaville - Salvation The Beekeepers - Killer Cure The Beekeepers - Hold On Cinerama - This Is Cinerama Daryll-Ann - Daryll-Ann Weeps Even In Blackouts - Myths and Imaginary Magicians Firewater - Get Off the Cross... We Need the Wood for the Fire The Go-Betweens - Bright Yellow, Bright Orange Guided By Voices - Universal Truths And Cycles Hefner - Boxing Hefner Helicopter Helicopter - Wild Dogs With X-Ray Eyes Ladytron - 604 Ian McCulloch - Slideling The Negro Problem - Welcome Black Pernice Brothers - Yours, Mine and Ours Richard Thompson - The Old Kit Bag Albums I've downloaded, listened to, and deleted: - ------------------------------------------------- Apples In Stereo - Let's Go EP The Donnas - The Donnas Turn 21 Epoxies - Epoxies Ether Net - Cyan EP The Exploding Hearts - Guitar Romantic Kaito - Band Red The Kent 3 - Spells Of Montreal - Aldhils Arboretum The Oranges Band - All Around Various Artists - Tribute To The Pixies Various Artists - Anyone Can Play Radiohead: A Tribute To Radiohead Steve Wynn - Singles Of The Month 2000 * Albums I've downloaded but haven't listened to yet: - ------------------------------------------------- Belle And Sebastian - The Boy With The Arab Strap Belle And Sebastian - Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like A Peasant Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine - I Blame The Government Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds - Nocturama Doleful Lions - Out Like A Lamb Luna - Romantica Luna - Close Cover Before Striking Lush - Ciao! 1989-1996 ** Mink Lungs - The Better Button Pennywise - Land Of The Free? Peaches - The Teaches of Peaches Britta Phillips and Dean Wareham - L'Aventura Reggie and the Full Effect - Promotional Copy Soft Boys - Underwater Moonlight (2 disc version) They Might Be Giants (TMBG) - Mink Car The Wondermints - Mind If We Make Love To You Steve Wynn - Live At The Ancienne Belgique Steve Wynn - The Suitcase Sessions * - Normally, I love Steve Wynn, but this collection does nothing for me. ** - I know I'll keep the Lush compilation, even though I have all the songs on CDs. Fairly good percentage of good stuff so far (and worth the subscription fee), so I'm happy. A good amount of these I downloaded because of LoudFans suggestions, so keep them coming. I've still got a lot to listen to... I've found that the best time to listen to new stuff is on the iPod during my early morning walk. My mind tends to be more open because of the fresh air, exercise, communing with nature, and all that crap. I'm also making some headway on transferring my CD collection to the 30GB iPod (or at least the approx. 15% of the collection that will fit), though I still have a long way to go. I've got 1866 songs in there right now, with about 21GB free. Of course, many of those songs are from the above eMusic downloads rather than from my CD collection. The instructions tell you to go up through 13, but there's no 13. Joe Mallon jmmallon@joescafe.com ------------------------------ End of loud-fans-digest V3 #224 *******************************
