I *think* the idea of a blog is that it's updated in the manner of a diary, with new content added to old (as opposed to the kind of websites where new content engenders a whole new layout design and the old stuff usually disappears), and it tends to be low-tech: no flashy (or Flash-y) bells and whistles, just text or photos or links or whatever.
