I do remember figuring out the intro on my own (or with my bandmate's help) at one point , but determined that I'd never be able to play it well, so I gave up. I don't think I wrote it down anywhere, and I certainly don't remember it now - sorry. I also seem to remember some non-Scott person (Bradley?) playing it well in front of me. I think it can be done in standard tuning. Latre. --Rog At Saturday 12/21/2002 02:14 AM -0500, jenny grover wrote: >Hmm... I guess that's better than nothing, but I don't know chords on a >guitar. I was looking at the music books and the most interesting was a Morrissey bio. I open it up, and inside there's a half sheet of paper upon which is written in black felt tip: "Dearest Daria [possibly Dania], My career would mean nothing but a hill of BROAD BEANS if not for your love and enthusiasm. when I think of thee I do indeed feel a need to stroke my tingling Loins, Love Forever Morrissey" After the name, there's a little drawing of a heart. So of course I took the note. What do we think? Real or a joke? One point in favor of it being real is the fact that the bio was an import from the UK (priced in pounds only). Re: Jill Jones. I didn't buy the album yet, but Holy Cow had a promo 12" which Steve sold me cheap. It's really great and sounds just about exactly like Prince circa "Purple Rain." Looks like I will have to pay through the nose for the CD at some point. - --dana ________________________________________________________________ Sign Up for Juno Platinum Internet Access Today Only $9.95 per month! My husband worked out the intro today. Not standard unless you tune your whole guitar down. Drop D, most likely, and the fingering is more logical that way, as well. Madonna's early records, for the most part, lacked outtake material, maybe one or two completed tracks from the first three records combined. On top of that... all of her singles always got very heavy club play. Most of her dedicated fanbase always went for her remixes... it would have been ridiculous to NOT include her most famous remixes on the albums. Maybe there'll be a rarities collection with the outtake material (I think there's only like 8 or 9 songs total that has seen any light of day. Most of them are still in print in the US.), but I doubt it will happen any time soon. Phil F. Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. I always had the idea that Morrissey's celibacy was a pose, perhaps to hide that he was gay. And I'm not sure of the gender of the person he's writing to here. But that doesn't matter now, just that it was a pose, and that he was so smart over the years to keep that front up.
