Since most of the CDs are critically-acclaimed indie pop, however, I've only found two so far that are actually worth keeping. Before I start disposing of the rejects through my usual channels, I thought I'd give pop fans a chance to score some cheap CD's. Most of these are imports from the past four years, and I'll start with a list of 100 titles. Let's say $7 including postage, or $5 each if I actually know you and can just drop them off at your place. Due to duplicates, some of these are still sealed. The others have only been played once, most likely in disgust. E-mail me privately for the list. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 Aug 2002 14:03:05 EDT From: Boyof100lists@aol.com Subject: [loud-fans] Three O'Clock release date The manager of my local record haunt called and said that the new Three O' Clock reissue will be released to stores on August 13. - -Mark Staples np 'til Tuesday "Coming Up Close" retrospective ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 Aug 2002 19:42:33 -0400 From: Dana Paoli Subject: [loud-fans] It was more than a year ago today (ns) Over a year ago, Jeff said: I just ran into _This Is the Ice Age_ by Martha & the Muffins - and hey, this is a fine album. >>>>>>>>>>>> Last week I found a very strange box of records being thrown out in my neighborhood which included: a '60's Francoise Hardy lp, a jazz version of the soundtrack to Lawrence of Arabia, a Rufus album, a Thompson Twins 12", a radio broadcast from the time when Kennedy was shot, and so on. Also included was the above album. If you knew my neighborhood, you'd understand why this is strange. Anway, This Is the Ice Age *is* really good!! Glad I found it, and I should have listened to Jeff way back when. Did anyone ever find a CD source for this? I thought I'd seen it on the woundedbird site, but that turned out to be Holly & the Italians. I found a web page listing it as an upcoming release in 2000, but couldn't actually find the release. BTW, there's a vinyl copy w/Buy It Now for $4.00 on eBay as we speak. - --dana ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 07 Aug 2002 22:59:09 -0400 From: jenny grover Subject: [loud-fans] heads up, Amy! Sorry to bother the list with this. Amy, I need your mailing address so I can send you CD's. (And I don't have her email address, so I couldn't ask her privately).
