It's a fairly recent innovation -- the annoying thing is that because AMG's website is for some reason really optimized for Internet Explorer (something that bugs me no end as a committed Netscape guy), things like the song reviews sometimes don't appear in other browsers. Most of the song reviews are for major groups (I think pretty much every Beatles song is written up, for example, and one guy has pretty much singlehandedly written reviews of nearly every Genesis song), but there's an ever-increasing number of obscurities. And thanks for the kind words, John. Vesuvio Cafe is across the street, and is a favorite for readings/signings. the events page for City Lights is here: http://www.citylights.com/events.html. Vesuvio is here: http://www.vesuvio.com/. and while you're there, don't miss Pearl's: http://jazzatpearls.citysearch.com/ they have a crappy site, probably because they're more concerned about the music. don't try to talk during a performance, or Pearl will come by to shush you up! Pearl's has no cover charge (!!!), but they have very strict two drink minimum. if you try to fill that with sodas. you'll occasionally be charged for an alcoholic drink. in addition to the best jazz you'll see live, they also have food. enjoy! brianna - -- "Drag me, drop me, treat me like an object." - -- > On 8/4/02 4:02 PM, "AWeiss4338@aol.com" wrote: > > > I'm going to be in SanFrancisco for about three days, it's the beginning of > > an escorted tour of the state. I'll have a lot to see now. City Lights, always wanted to go there. Pearl's sounds interesting too, I like jazz.
