If so, I'd never heard of them until an auction for a single of theirs appeared in my usual GT search. It's currently there - apologies I don't have the URL to hand. >>>>>>>>>>>> BTW, I'm a big fan of Christmas, but the single that's on eBay now isn't really so hot. I'd recommend skipping it unless it's very cheap, or you really must have everything they've done. I do like the "Oh Babyman" song by Christmas that's on that Big Time (?) comp, though, and recommend that fans of the band snag a copy (can't remember the name, but the cover is green). And I hope Allmusic lets Stewart rewrite the review of Christmas' final album "Vortex" as the guy who did the current version got it really wrong. It adds you to more lists. The whole point of those things is apparently to get you to reply so they can sell it as a verified address. So was I the only person watching "Beat the Geeks" last night when the Music Geek announced that Scott Miller of the Loud Family was the greatest songwriter alive? I'm sure that some of those "remove" deals could be legit, but I was told a long time ago that many spammers use the "remove" to verify that your e-mail address is a valid one, so that they can keep sending you spam and can sell your address to other spammers. Back when I was on AOL, I used to reply to every one of those and I noticed the spam count did go up. So I don't do that any more. Don't know if there's any way to get off the lists, but I doubt it. Speaking of spam, my ISP implemented new intense spam blocking procedures last weekend. It seems to be working (it's cut down on almost all spam), but of course there's always the possibility that real mail is getting blocked. Those of you who send me personal messages: please let me know if you get a bounce-back when sending to me, or if you for some reason (other than the fact sometimes I'm a slow replier) you think I didn't receive an e-mail. The question is whether you think "camp" and "gay" are synonyms, which in my experience they're not. Many of the campest men I've ever seen are resolutely straight -- Van Dyke Parks comes to mind, as does Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen from Changing Rooms -- and no one would accuse, say, Bob Mould or Tom Robinson of being camp. So, no, saying someone might be too camp for one's taste is not in fact a polite way of saying someone might be too gay for one's taste. So there.
