out on Merge.  It's about 4 months newer than Getaway, and it's quite nice.  
Kilgour just toured the US opening for Lambchop, backed by 3-4 members of 
Lambchop (for most of the Atlanta set, Mac MacCoughan sat in on an inaudible 
battered acoustic guitar as well) then returned the favor by playing an 
inaudible electric guitar in Lambchop.  He was remarkable, as he's been 
everytime I've seen him, and I was amazed by the rapt crowd reception.

Guess now's as good a time as any...

I spoke with Mitch Easter at last Fridays Shalini show in Raleigh and
Mitch confirmed to me that he has started a new band to be called The
Crackpots. It's essentially the same Shalini band with Mitch, Shalini
and Eric Marshall, but they will concentrate on Mitch's songs and
generally material that doesn't seem appropriate to be done with the
Shalini band. I must say that this really isn't surprising as Mitch has
become increasingly more a player in Shalini's live shows.

I LOVE IT!

A Mitch renaissance!
