I meant to reply to, er, a recent post-er who mentioned The Rosenbergs and then, well, forgot. If you liked the Rosenbergs then Owsley should ring your chimes as well. The R's earlier AMERIPOP ep is excellent as well, if you can still find a copy especially the track which has Car in the title. My memory, damn! A big favourite here at the moment is the Austin band Household Names which Bill at Minus Zero recommended on my recent visit with ex-lister Didier Leonard. It's called THE TROUBLE WITH BEING NICE and it's on Top 40 records - more info at www.householdnames.org I also finally picked up Bradley's Belle da Gama GARDEN ABSTRACT and, stap me, it's terrific. Ultra-Loud-fan friendly, loadsa melodies, crunchy guitars, a veritable feast of influences from The Byrds to Alternative TV (well, that's what *I* hear anyway!), brill. More please Mr S & co!
