Of course JR makes no bones about his primary interest in being on the list: as he has told me many times, he needs material to write columns about. The Loudfan list seems to represent, for him, a reservoir of archetypical geekiness. I recently finished reading "Alice Through the Needle's Eye" by Gilbert Adair, which is a third Alice in Wonderland book, done exactly like the originals with illustrations in the identical style. While a few parts of it were silly, in general it was extremely well done and I'd recommend it to anyone who wanted to share a few more pages with Alice. Right now I'm reading "Older, The Unauthorized Biography of George Michael" and I'm finding it oddly fascinating. (I found it on the street yesterday, hardcover/mint, and picked it up so I could hopefully sell it for a few $ on eBay.) My favorite part so far is the bit about Andrew "Vomit Fountain" Ridgeley.
