Of course we'd have given her a headline gig if we could but couldn't find a date that worked...so in the end she did a support for Rod Picott. The previous night had been another support in Glasgow at a major rock venue to alt-country band Clem Snide. Kris remarked about the contrast between the gigs....she'd never have dared play the ballads in front of the vociferous and lubricated Glaswegians but she knew they'd work well at our place where we get a listening crowd (Redbird had played for us on their 2004 tour). So from memory we got 'Juice and June', 'Words Fail You' as well as 'Little Wings', 'East of the Mountains' and a couple of new ones....the two ballads in particular were jaw droppingly good. She sold quite a few CDs and then sat listening appreciatively to Rod Picott's set...she also caught up on a fair bit of knitting. Next time she comes back we certainly intend to give her the headline spot....the irony was that this time as a support we got to hear more of her own songs than when Redbird headlined. gerry ------------------------------ End of little-wings-digest V7 #6 ********************************
