Douglas" Subject: little-wings: Kris @ Woodyfest Dropping in from lurkerdom to mention that Kris played Woodyfest (the Woody Guthrie Free Folk Festival in Okemah, OK) this past Thursday night. Her set was definitely appreciated. Older stuff, mainly, although she did do 'Patience,' 'East of the Mountains' (played with the house band - led by the excellent Terry Buffalo Ware - who learned her songs mainly off of listening to her cd's an hour or so before the set), and 'Bobby Lee' off of the more recent stuff. Thursday was the first night of outdoor performances in the Pastures of Plenty and concerttime temperature was (before heat index factor, ie., sitting in a pasture without cover two hours before sunset) 95. Kris mentioned that it was the first time she'd ever been to Oklahoma and it's "hot, as it turns out."
