I love kris and catie. having the chance to see them both together was just awesome. and while i really enjoyed most of the show, i was a bit disappointed there at the end. laura love pretty much took over the end of the show. i don't know how to say this politely, but she is just really loud. and i swear, if she yodeled one more time... i don't mean to be unkind. i was just so looking forward to hearing kris and catie together and was disappointed that laura became so dominant there at the end of the show. one last thing...catie brought out her baby girl after the show. she is adorable! the cutest little pink cheeks and beautiful dark hair. it was a delight to see catie in mom mode. so that's my review - the good and the bad. hope i didn't offend anyone, but i had to tell it the way it was. other listers who were there, feel free to chip in with your own two cents! jeff from cleveland New Yahoo! Thanks, man! Yes, it's been a bit quiet on the reviews, thanks for piping up!! Gosh, I'm on both lists so I was lucky enough to hear ya twice! And, I like Laura Love too, but no offense taken! Sometimes that's just how it is...it just don't sit right...so have no fear of speakin' your mind! Sounds like it would have been a fabulous show. I haven't seen my two favorite performers play together since I was first introduced to Kris while she toured with Catie several years ago! Definitely looking forward to "Dreaming in Romance Languages" from Catie. Hmmm...makes me wonder what the cover art will be!? And I've asked for Redbird for Christmas...we'll see. If not, I'm getting it myself!! I highly doubt I'll get to meet Lucy any time soon. Don't think she'd take her on the road all the way out here to the other coast. Hmmm...does that mean I need to come to Mass some time soon? Ah well...thanks for the words. And hey, y'all, there were other Catie shows recently. Anyone else out there willing to chime in?? Best of the season to all of you. May you and yours have a safe and happy time as you celebrate Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanzaa, Solstice...or whatever gives you inspiration. We almost didn't go because we knew Kris was just opening and we hadn't heard any of Catie's music in the past, and honestly didn't know if we would like her. Last time we saw Kris she opened for the Dan Bern band, and we weren't that thrilled with him. Plus, we had just seen Kris do a two hour show in October at Jammin Java. Long story short, thank goodness we did. Kris was really chatty and personable and sounded great. And Catie was amazing too, she definitely has new fans in us. Laura Love was interesting - she is definitely talented, but not our style. The yodelling did get to be a bit much. The highlight if the evening though was when another fan asked Kris to sign her breasts - and Kris complied. She later said that it was the first and probably te last time that would ever happen. It was my first time hearing them and I was trying to be very open-minded about it. I actually did enjoy some of their songs during their set, even though their music isn't really my style. It was clear that they were putting on a great performance as far as their fans in the audience were concerned. My only complaint was that Laura seemed to really dominate the stage when she came back on at the end of the show. You would have thought it was the Laura Love show with special guests Catie Curtis and Kris Delmhorst instead of the other way around. As a diehard Kris and Catie fan, I was just disappointed. No harm meant to Laura and her fans out there! Lightbox61@aol.com wrote: I am from Seattle and Laura Love is one of our own!
