A MUST See ["MARSIK Theresa" Subject: little-wings: Re: Kris In Concert! A MUST See I was also at the Ark last Thursday, and I agree with Brad that it was a= great show. I've only seen Kris 3 times so far, but even in that timespan= (about 1-1/2 years), her stage presence has really evolved. Besides her= performance, she's just so personable and approachable. Definitely go see= her if you can! I didn't take notes during the concert, but I think she played a few more= songs than Brad included in his list. From what I can remember, she= played (in no particular order): Waiting Under The Waves Bobby Lee East of the Mountains You're No Train Weathervane Juice & June Hummingbird Hurricane Come Home Short Work Broken White Line Rocks & Water (song by Deb Talen) Red Herring (with Jabe on the Harmonica!) Weatherman Moscow Song Words Fail You Cluck Old Hen Little Wings Open Road Honeyed Out I found it kind of humorous that Kris skipped the word "sh*t" in Red= Herring but then sang all of the words in Honeyed Out. :) Theresa ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Nov 2003 19:16:15 -0500 From: BEtter5111@aol.com Subject: little-wings: Kris - A Must See Part 2 (short) Brad here once again. I just wanted to Thank Theresa for her informative post. Her set list additions were thorough and complete. I'm wondering just how I could miss listing so many songs! . . . I guess that temporary memory loss and emotional overload are some of the many effects that seeing Kris in performance can have on her audience. he-he Besides thanking Theresa for her post, I also wanted to mention what a superb musician that Kris's current accompanist Jabe Beyer is! Just listen to Jabe's harmonica playing and his wonderful singing on the song - Red Herring from the Oddlot recording! Jabe is also an excellent electric guitarist with beautiful tone. He displays very nice & tasty chops and that combined with his innate sense of never overpowering Kris's vocals all help to make Jabe and Kris onstage quite the pair. They compliment each other very nicely. Check-Out Jabe's web site: http://www.jabe.net/jabe.html Kris's management team is also a class act! I guess that it is only fitting that such a talented and a great individual such as Kris should also have a great team behind her as well! - Gush-Gush - If you would go see Kris in concert, then I would be willing to bet that you would be gushing too! :-) he-he * Brad Better5111@aol.com ------------------------------ End of little-wings-digest V5 #50 *********************************
