Of course I thought it was great. I was the producer and it was a real honor to have Kris play at my series. But, here are a few observations and highlights of the show. This was the first show Kris & Jimmy Ryan had played on the current tour. The shows in Winston-Salem & Charlotte North Carolina were both cancelled due to the weather. They were ready to play Charlotte, even without any power. But, the venue also didn't have any heat. Jimmy Ryan played a great opening set. He has a new CD, Lost Diamond Angel, for sale. Jimmy also joined Kris onstage for much of the evening. A few highlights for me were: The new song "You're No Train," The Dave Carter cover "The Power and the Glory," and "World Gives You Wings" which was my request. Here's the complete setlist: Yellow Brick Road Garden Rose Bobby Lee Cluck Old Hen East of the Mountains You're No Train Broken White Line Mary Lou Weatherman The Power and the Glory Red Herring Damn Love Song World Gives You Wings Honeyed Out Little Wings ENCORE Mean Old Wind don Now the boulevard is never gonna be the same Are they gonna take your footprints off the walk of fame Oh, it's so humiliating Why, Winona, why? -- "Why, Winona, Why?"
