The venue was very small (about 50 people or so were crowded into it) but the sound was very good for the room. There were both wooden chairs and a few sofas to sit on and we got to snuggle down on a black little sofa for the show. Pretty comfortable! I can't remember the entire set list or the order, but among the songs she played were: Robert Lee (or was it "Bobby Lee" - anyway it was a very nice song and she said it was going to be on the next record) Damn Love Song Cluck old hen East of the Mountains Broken White Line Hummingbird Cruel Moon (song by Buddy Miller - a duet with Steve and Kris and a very fine one) Gravity Yellow Brick Road North Dakota Marylou Weatherman Mean old wind Honeyed out Little wings encore Just What I Meant Lullaby 101 The order (except for the encore) is pretty much random, I am not sure of the title of the song I refer to as "Robert Lee" and I am sure I am missing a song or two (damn it is Hell getting old!), but it was a great show. The new songs sounded very fine and I am looking forward to the next album she said she is going in to work on now. After the show she said (after I mentioned that April and I had driven out from central Illinois) something like "you do know we played Urbana last week!" Urbana is about 40 miles away from us rather than the 140 or so to St. Louis. We hadn't realized that! I didn't see it listed on the web site. Did anyone here go to it? Anyway, it was well worth the drive. You folk out east, enjoy the shows this December! Wade ------------------------------ End of little-wings-digest V4 #68 *********************************
