I'm done with all my school work! Hooray! Last weekend a couple of friends and I drove to Boston for the Paradise show. It was awesome. We missed most of Erin because we were starved. We did get to see Jabe rock out, complete with hair flinging and Yells of "Reefer!" We had a blast dancing. My friends and I couldn't figure out how Kris planned to follow his set. But she did, with a crazy, fun rock version of "Cluck Old Hen" which I would love to hear again :) She played mostly new songs. Only a couple off of Appetite. Gravity, North Dakota, possibly Weatherman (I really shouldn't do set lists a week later) She sang Broken White Line, Somewhere Trouble Don't Go, Little Wings (Jabe came out and sang with her), Mary Lou (I was hoping since the audience was "undulating," as Kris called it, perhaps we could start a singing back of the chorus but, alas), Garden Rose (Jennifer Kimball came out and sang too), Yellow Brick Road, and Words Fail You. She did a great rendition of Honeyed Out with Erin, Jabe, Jennifer, Tom (who played slide dobro, I think that's what it was), Caitie Curtis's bass player, the drummer who's name I don't remember :( , Sean Staples, and the rest of Jabe's band. Everyone. Kris had a cute red outfit on: Red tank top and knee length red, slightly lighter red swirly design skirt with white dots following the swirlies. I had a great time singing and dancing (undulating). It was fun to be on our feet, there's always a neat energy when you get to dance or sway instead of trying to bop in your chair. Maybe it's just me. I was hoping to hear Short Work and Lullaby but, no luck. When are the gigs for California being posted, or when are they? Pollstar says she's doing one show in SF but I can't find anything else. Has anybody heard anything more? I'll be home soon and I'd love to catch a show. That's it from me. I hope you're all enjoying the sun and greenness, Nena _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ End of little-wings-digest V3 #32 *********************************
