Same thing Tim asked, did any one record this show? I also have lots of shows, including her performance at Lori McKenna's CD release show last week in Somerville!! If so, yes, I'm here in cyberspace, too! And mighty sad about missing most of Cluck Old Hen (that's what I get for trying to have dinner with friends an hour before the show). Thanks, Caroline, for reading the songs we missed off of Kris's set list for me. Here's the complete run down: Sleeping Dogs Yellow Brick Road Garden Rose Cluck Old Hen Broken White Line Mary Lou cover of Smokey Robinson's Tracks of My Tears North Dakota - --break-- Open Road Moscow Song Julie Miller Song -- Trouble Don't Go(?) World Gives You Wings Weatherman Red Herring Little Wings Honeyed Out - --encore-- don't know the title, but the one that starts "sleep, you little soldier boy." It was a wonderful show, made even better by the fact that I just so happened to be in Ithaca for the weekend from Boston. Hope you had a safe and uneventful long drive home through the misty rain, too, Kris! Oh, and for the folks asking about boots, I didn't notice anyone taping the show. Pardon my very ignorant question, but how exactly do you go about doing that, and how is the sound quality when you do? mb ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 08 Apr 2001 22:07:13 -0000 From: "Anna Kempin" Subject: 5 songs Hi, My name is Anna - first time caller, longtime listener - actually not really I only just joined the list the other day. I might get the prize for the most distant Kris fan cause I live all the way down under in Brisbane, Australia. I've never actually seen Kris live, doing a solo show but did see her playing cello for Lori McKenna at the Newport Folk Festival in 1999 (when I was in the states on holiday). From there I bought the Respond CD, absoloutely loved weatherman, and nearly every other song on that CD, and bought Kris' CD about a day after which leads me to now. Anyway my friends and I were talking over a few beers the other night and we were playing a game where you had to come up with 5 songs you wish you had of written. It was so much fun and I thought it would be great to find out some other peoples opinions, and maybe find some great new music out there. My 5 were:1. A Case of You - Joni Mitchell2. Fall at your Feet - Crowded House3. Arrow - Cheryl Wheeler4. Wish you were Here - Pink Floyd5. World Gives you Wings - Kris (of course this is the reason that made me think to write) So give it a go.See ya laterAnna Kempin - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 08 Apr 2001 19:09:42 -0500 From: "Margaret Peachy" Subject: Re: 5 songs Hey folks, I like this little exercise of naming five songs I wish I had written. My list would have to be, and this is in no particular order: 1. Diminished - REM, 2. arm's length - kris, 3. til you're dead - melissa ferrick, 4. light years - pearl jam, 5. blackbird - the beatles. ~Peachy, a list lurker until this post. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 9 Apr 2001 00:13:22 EDT From: Lightbox61@aol.com Subject: Re: 5 songs I wish I had written Coming Back to Me -- Jefferson Airplane Won't Get Fooled Again-- The Who Your Smiling Face-- James Taylor Since You've Asked--Judy Collins It Chains--Danielle Howle An electic bunch of my favorites by folks with far more talent than I'll ever have in music...
