Because I've been ranting and raving on another band's board about her, but try to limit that due to it being a board for another band. So yeah.....I can vent all my love & enthusiasm for Kris here :-) I had been hearing Kris's song , Gravity on the radio (wers/Boston) prior to seeing her perform live. I had thought the studio version of the song was good....but wasn't really excited about it. Then when I went to see Catie Curtis at Wellesley College last year, to my very pleasant surprise Kris was playing fiddle and singing backup. I was *so* impressed like Barb, by Kris's amazing talent & stage presence. I immediately bought Kris's, Appetite cd after the show and listened to it repeatedly for many days :-) I then saw Kris perform at Sanders Theater and got to hear her play her own songs :-) I've seen her play a couple of times since then but haven't seen her perform nearly as much as I would have liked to....but I am *really* excited about her upcoming show at the Iron Horse in Northampton,Ma (March 2nd)!!!!! :-) And I hear she'll be playing at Lori McKenna's cd release party too!!! :-) Kris is amazing in my opinion.....I love her new songs and plan on catching as many of her shows as I can :-) Ok....I've babbled on enough :-) ~ April ....but I see you and your smiling, living on your own, with your paintbrush and your poems you'll never be alone.... ~ Kris Shop online without a credit card http://www.rocketcash.com RocketCash, a NetZero subsidiary ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 Jan 2001 12:23:25 -0800 From: "baystate" Subject: FW: Hello - -----Original Message----- From: jean sapula [mailto:jeansapula@juno.com] Sent: Wednesday, January 24, 2001 11:37 PM To: baystate@mediaone.net Subject: Re: Hello Hi, I'm Jean.....and I was introduced to Kris' music several years ago at Falcon Ridge Folk Fest......Kris, Jess Klein, Erin McKeown, Mark Erelli and several other artists did a little campfire performance (without the campfire) near the mainstage starting after midnight, running to at least 2 a.m...It was a particularly cool evening and the performers were doing their best to keep their fingers warm and guitars in tune....it was the best reason to lose sleep in a long time.
