Edward did a pretty good job summing up the details of my unbelievable 
experience , probably better than I can do without rambling incessantly.     
Catering (brownies and chocolate mousse ladyfingers!)  and conversation were 
great , but the most wonderful thing was getting to spend time with my good 
friends out on the west coast that I don't get to see very often .   It's so 
awesome that music can bring people together for the best of times.  I was 
also very impressed to see that the backstage area is very different from 
what one might expect.  Sure there's the occasional kite flying ,dog 
walkings, and  hacky sack circle, but also a  lot of busy people running 
around assuring that  all is running smoothly.  To see how it all works is 
what truly amazes me  and gains my deepest admiration.  There's also a 
tremendous amount of normalcy about the performers when they are just people 
like us which is really refreshing .  It still didn't  squelch the urge to 
run out on stage during the finale , but I knew my place and respected it and 
enjoyed the view :-)  Definitely check out the 'Fans', 'Lisa Sanders' and 
'Sarah McLachlan' sections of the San Diego section of the Liilth site for a 
glance at a very familiar T-boy watching Tekla, my khaki hat in the LIsa 
Sanders pic , and an awesome shot of Sarah and Lisa during the finale  !  
Hope everyone is doing well and more rested than Edward and I .

I know that at last years shows, cameras were allowed, and were even sold at 
some shows................   how about this year?    I don't want to bring my 
camera, and then have to make the trek back to the car to put it away 
again.............

No cameras are allowed. They are pretty strict about this and even do a bag search on the way in....

It all depends on the venue. The Rose Bowl permitted cameras. Lots of people 
used their cameras in front of the guards and they didn't say or do anything 
about it. Check the lilith fair web site for the date you are going and it 
will usually say what the venue permits or doesn't.

BTW, I'm new to the list and I would like to know if anyone taped the L.A. 
Lilith! Especially Sheryl's session. I would almost anything for that tape!

You know what else?  This may sound gross, but if you are a girl it
comes in handy..put your camera at the bottom of your bag and fill the
top with tampons and pads (all unused of course!!). No security guard
wants to search through that! Trust me, it's worked every year.  :o)
