Hey guys,
For those of you who were there to witness it in person, Darcie & the guys
really kicked some A$$ at ABC didn't they!?!? For those of you who missed out,
I'm telling you.. "Darcie & The Guys really kicked A$$ at ABC on Saturday!"
How do you know what I say is true? Well, you don't.. but before you go
doubting me, first you need to think to yourself & ponder the thought. Would your
*beloved* list administrator lie to you? You're right, he wouIdn't, would
he?.. so shame on you for not being there! LOL
I have to say it definitely rates up there with one of the best Darcie shows
ever. She was all fired up, and the band sounded so good. Despite many
requests (by her) for her acoustic to be turned up, the mix sounded very good as I
sat there as a non-drinking spectator. It's always nice to get to hear
Baitley as well as getting to see him. House even did an 8 string bass solo, &
busted out his vintage ('77 I think?) black Guild bass. Some great new songs.
All in all, nearly a perfect night. (where was my woman Nikka??)
Set list for those of you who are interested:
Set 1
Baby, Baby, I Love You
New Jersey
Victim
Heart In My Throat (god this song is great)
I Write The Book
Go Insane
Run
Tony
One Big Line
Broken
Christina (solo Yay!)
Orphan
In The Mourning
How To Howl
Emaline
Set 2
Am I The One
Falling Apart
Out On A Walk
He Said
Lock Me Up (another tasty new one.. LOL)
Rocket Man
My Angel
Use Me
Wiggley Fingers
After all this, I still wanted MORE Darcie. How many artists can you go see
that play well over 20 songs & you're still wanting more? .. Avril.. uhm,
yeah, I think not. LOL
To switch subjects slightly (but at the same time keeping it Darcie-focused
since I'm multi-talented) keep your requests going to WXPN. www.xpn.org
Like I said, this is HUGE for the band to be getting airplay on this station.
They have a huge singer/songwriter festival in July. If we get in enough
requests, she may be chosen as THE local artist to perform on a particular day.
This would be in front of 10,000 or so people at Penns Landing in Philly.
HUGE exposure in front of big-time music loving fans. Request, request, request
One Big Line & anything else they'll play! Let's do our best to get her at
this festival!
Also, if you have time, hit up that Pittsburgh station WYEP & WFUV in NY as
well. Those ones aren't playing Darcie yet.. but they SHOULD BE playing them.
Tell them that you hear Darcie on WXPN out of Philly, and would like to hear
Darcie on their station as well!
www.wyep.org
www.wfuv.org .. if you have multiple email addresses, email them from
everyone one like me.. :-) just do it a day later or something, not all at one
time.
Sincerely,
Dave (who was NOT a non-drinker today due to the celebration of his dog's 9th
birthday) LOL
