After some early problems locating Darcie's guitar (Yes, EVEN Darcie's beauitful Guild that is signed by Ms. Patty G herself!).. the show last night was great! Everyone in the band seemed to be having such a great time up there, and even though the crowd was not very prompt to cheer, they were enthusiastic once they got going. Hey, it was a Friday night, there were LOTS of heavy drinkers in the crowd. We all know that lots of drinking causes you to react MUCH more slowly! One highlight was Milhouse chasing down the keg as it was being carried through the room... escorting it the whole way through the swinging door & into that mysterious back room. Hmm?? I wonder what happened back there? Milhouse & a keg of beer in a room, all by themselves.. :-) Of course, Darcie's voice is ALWAYS THE highlight, & it was especially amazing during "Am I The One" last night. Yes D, PUT THAT (the Live Version) ON THE CD!!! The mix & the sound was as close to perfect as you can get for being at Gullifty's! Everyone's instruments were coming through clearly, and you could actually hear the lead guitar during ALL parts, instead of just during little solos. Nothing was overpowering everything else, and nothing sounded "muddy" which seems to be a problem at some places I've seen the band. Heck, even Rombus was mixed well, hats off to the sound guy for doing a great job. All the new songs also sounded great. With the band getting to play them out more and more, you can hear them getting better and better. Can't wait to hear studio versions of these songs! Oh.. Milhouse mentioned the EP being released on the 19th!?!? Is that as in 4 days from today?? .. or is that July 19th? Someone has to keep us up on this, b/c I'll drive wherever I have to go on the 19th (whichever one it may be) to get this thing the minute it's "available"! Ok, that's all for me. Everyone have a happy & safe weekend. Nine days, that's right NINE DAYS till Darcie opens for The Almighty Patty Griffin @ the Whitaker Center!! Waaahhh!!!!!! :-) Dave ***************************************** You know the best things are free ... with Proof of Purchase ~~ Bree Sharp ~~ "America" ***************************************** ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 Jun 2002 23:53:34 EDT From: Songbird22@aol.com Subject: Re: Let-It-Out: Gullifty's Sounds very cool!
