[hey everyone - i sent this message out earlier in the week but forgot to

hi there,

& welcome to the last mailing of the year.  as you can see, i'll be rounding
out '02 with a rare venture below the mason-dixon line, as well as a few
choice shows closer to home. so far, i haven't spent too much time down in
the southlands, so if any of you out there have friends down there that you
felt like hassling until they finally broke down and came to one of my
shows, i shore would appreciate y'all's doing that, ya hear?

also, check out the info on the dec. 12 show at joe's pub in nyc with my
amazing friend lori mckenna;  this one ought to be a nice juicy night of
music.

thanks to all you righteous midwesterners who kept us company over the last
couple of weeks.  i have officially entered the studio to begin work on my
next album which will appear sometime in 2003.  which means the normal
functions of life break down, as i operate more & more from the primordial
brain stem alone.  so you'll forgive me if i'm not as coherent as sometimes.

happy thanksgiving and this year, why not throw caution to the winds and try
the candied yams?
