It was a packed house with many of New Orleans finest in attendance and of course a plethora of bass players. It's amazing that so many rock guys are amazing filmmakers. Robert Trujillo did a stunning job with this film. There was a course allot of Joni content and besides the interviews for the film there were some bits I had not seen before. I especially enjoyed Peter Erskine who I go to spend some time with when he was here with Russell Ferrante on a Yellowjackets show. My old friend and drummer Ricky Sebastian was on the panel after the movie and told some really funny stories about playing with Jaco back in the day. Johnny Pastorius and Robert were commenting on how much stuff was left on the cutting room floor. I can only imagine the people that were willing to step up and tell Jaco stories. Run, don't walk to see this film!!
