McNamara" Subject: RE: Jethro Tull NJC Yes, I agree - criminal. Stand Up, Aqualung, Thick As A Brick, Minstrel in the Gallery, Passion Play, War Child, Heavy Horses ... I also love the album Roots to Branches. I saw them in NC with Jimmy about 10 years ago with the Chieftains. They played an amazing version of "With You There To Help Me" which is a very deep track from Stand Up with a crazy psychedelic flute solo. FLUTE, yes I said flute and he also played a mean soprano sax. What a great concert ... I think since I was fifteen I've seen them live about 25 times. I had a serious thing for Ian Anderson ... who everyone in my high school called Jethro Tull. Dopes. :-) - -----Original Message----- From: owner-joni@smoe.org [mailto:owner-joni@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Bob.Muller@Fluor.com Sent: Tuesday, October 13, 2015 10:30 AM To: Clint Norwood Cc: joni@smoe.org Subject: Jethro Tull NJC It's a total travesty that Jethro Tull is not in the RRHOF - what's up with that? They're a powerhouse. When you look at who DID make it, and these guys, true originals with an incredible discography and some of the most classic rock tracks ever, it just boggles my beautiful mind.
