Now that I've been to Greenville and biked the Swamp Rabbit Trail, I know just where you are coming from about weeds Bob. ;) No, seriously, it is very true that people miss so much of Joni when limited to looking through the 3J lens. I loved what you said when introducing Laurie at the Bohemian during the fest... Jazzers get Joni. I just got Kimberly Ford's jazz album Songs in the Key of Sea. It is fantastic!!! Refreshing and uplifting!!! Such talent!!! You'll be getting a personal thank you from me Kimberly, but I have to say here on the list THANK YOU for this beautiful album, and it was a great joy to get to know you and hear you sing in the weeds at the Jonifest. You are awesome!!! Love, Laura see all three through the same lens, that is 60's/70's folk singers. I get it. Hey, anyway that Joni gets celebrated is a good thing! One snagged me and I started telling him about Joni Mitchell and the Amitchka concert in Vancouver (with Taylor and Ochs) and how the funds from it helped create Greenpeace. He was like, "cool". I didn't get a sense he knew who Joni was or make it imperitive to go home and look it up, buy you never know. (Go home and look it up?? boy am I out of it!)
