It's very well organized and functional, but feels a little antiseptic. Though that's just personal taste and nitpicking compared to the overall accomplishment. Congrats to all involved. It's a highly organised layout and I love it. We can get where we want to go with minimum fuss, which is as it should be, but I think it has a very masculine feel. I'd like it to warm up a bit with lipstick, nail varnish, hats and things - more colour. The links in the bio section don't work, but I think you know that. Does anyone have recordings of these two songs? I see that copies of the original record are available on Amazon (used, obviously). I sort of recall someone saying that these weren't songs at all, but intros to songs - but maybe I'm mistaken. lots of love, Anne ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 1 Sep 2015 18:39:45 -0700 From: Victor Johnson Subject: Beautiful Things update (NJC) Just to give you an update...going to the studio this Sunday to do the mastering and then I will be sending it off to be manufactured in the next couple of weeks! Freda Paz is doing the layout and graphic design for me so we'll be working hard to put it together and send it off. These songs are sounding phenomenal. I will let you know when it is up and available for purchase. Hope everyone has a great time at Bobfest! I'll be performing as well this Saturday at 3pm Pacific time here in Bend so at least we'll probably be playing some music at the same time. I'll be sure to do a Joni tune or two. Victor in Bend NP: "Black Sun" from Beautiful Things (a song written for the victims of the AME Emanuel Church shooting in Charleston). ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 1 Sep 2015 20:53:41 +0100 From: Joe Farrell Subject: re:the new JoniMitchell.com Les, It is really impressive and very user friendly. It worked really well for me. This is a valuable resource from which we all gain so much. Thanks for all your hard work Les. Regards, Joe. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 Aug 2015 12:53:04 -0400 From: Bob.Muller@Fluor.com Subject: Re: Joni backup singing (now NJC) Agreed Les - I recall that every time I posted an NP for that record I'd get a thumbs up from you. The album jacket isn't exactly frameworthy but I get it. Also worth eartime is the follow up, "Here Comes The New Folk Underground".
