I loved learning another part of the story. Years ago I lived around the corner from the tenement castle in Detroit. Always meant to get out and hear Chuck Mitchell but did not get around to it, I think probably because he was billed as a folk singer and I had never known or related to Joni as a folk singer. So I listened to him for the first time today. He has a nice clear voice. Definitely, I can feature him in The Music Man and the Stephen Foster-Mark Twain tribute. It was a treat to read the story of how he found his house in Keokuk and how he tried to preserve more of the history there than he was able to do. Then I finished the online explorations by listening to I Had a King: There's no one to blame No there's no one to name as a traitor here.
