McNamara" Subject: RE: Malka at symposium I finally got a chance to see Malka's presentation on YouTube yesterday. It was wonderful. As far as Joni and Malka's friendship, the story about her putting the tape with Joni's confession about Kilauren in a safe for 25 years has to be one of the most wonderful examples of friendship I've ever heard. Friends keep friends' secrets, and Joni is VERY lucky to have Malka in her life. I also thought Malka describing her amazement at Joni's talent at first sight is also a testament to her perception. All of us know the feeling of flabbergast and unbelief when we meet someone who doesn't get how great Joni's talent is. Malka was there at the beginning and is still there championing the Great Joni Mitchell. Wonderful!!
