I understand completely why Joni would not want someone like Taylor Swift to play her. First of all I don't think Taylor Swift is an actress. She does music, though these days anyone with "celebrity" immediately thinks they should do both. Secondly the movie press would be all about Taylor Swift acting, and not about Joni because lets face it, many more people know Swift these days. Joni's story does not need to be overwhelmed by someone else's spotlight. AND THE BIGGEST REASON!! Joni Mitchell has an attitude. I don't know if anyone of you has noticed it, but it sure does not go along well with today's celebrity culture. Sweet, commercial Taylor is not at all what Joni is going to like. I know quite a lot of you guys get miffed by Joni's distance with modern feminism, and other "causes" but Joni does not and cannot go along with the stream. Besides her artistry (universes away from Taylor Swift and what a lot of people call "art" these days) the other reason I love Joni is that she will not ever fit into any of the neat little boxes we have for our constructs. As a matter of fact she hates that as well as the mentality of stardom and garden variety hero-worship. Its what I love about Joni.I totally get it if true.-Clint On Tuesday, August 4, 2015 10:24 AM, "Barthel, Donald R" wrote: http://www.celebdirtylaundry.com/2015/taylor-swift-stalking-joni-mitchell-b= egging-to-play-music-legend-in-biopic-movie-joni-disses-swift-refuses-to-ca= st-her/ Donald R.
