Mark in Seattle - -----Original Message----- From: Les Irvin Sent: Sunday, June 28, 2015 12:11 PM To: JMDL Subject: Official statement from Leslie Morris To be posted to the website within the hour: Leslie Morris, Joni's conservator, has approved the following statement to be made through JoniMitchell.com: "Joni did in fact suffer an aneurysm. However, details that have emerged in the past few days are mostly speculation. The truth is that Joni is speaking, and she's speaking well. She is not walking yet, but she will be in the near future as she is undergoing daily therapies. She is resting comfortably in her own home and she's getting better each day. A full recovery is expected." You may leave your well wishes for Joni at http://weloveyoujoni.com/ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 28 Jun 2015 22:32:49 +0000 From: c Karma Subject: Don't be pissed at Croz! Joni probably is and that's enough. Either way, his comments may have been the ones referred to in Leslie's "official" statement. If he's reacting to being (analog) ghosted that's his prerogative to use the access he has to the media to vent frustration. He and James Taylor and God knows who else are probably fielding all sorts of questions about someone they haven't had a relationship with for decades, while they are trying to manage their own careers and new projects. The vacuum of information we all have and may continue to endure may be necessary for Joni's successful convalescence. If so, a simple acknowledgment and request for privacy (to fans and privately to her friends) would seem all that is necessary to short circuit unnecessary and unhelpful speculation. Ms. Morris is likely no stranger to Joni's needs nor those of fans and friends. You may not share her priority but perhaps they are not hers alone. Which government can vacuum in more tax dollars, state or federal? LOL! Thanks for that Etta James cover of Amelia! I absolutely LOVE Etta James and Amelia is one of my favorite Joni songs. Thanks again.
