So you know, I am deeply moved and touched by so much that has been shared with me by Joni Listers for my paper. I really hope in the short time I have I will do us proud. I'll do my best! Plus I am so jazzed our wonderful Anita is part of the program, and of course the keynote speaker, Malka Marom! I hope some of our UK listers can attend and give us a report. The panels have some great and heavy topics brewing!! It appears that the first one was actually 20 years prior (1974) and released on 8-track: http://tinyurl.com/nlemq8c On the "Delmar Sound Alike Music" label, the artist is shown as Sara Smith. I don't know if that's really the vocalist, this looks like one of those bootleg 8-tracks you'd see in small town gas stations. I'm also assuming that someone found several boxes of these for various artists (Gordon Lightfoot, Elton John, Cat Stevens, etc) because they are all over ebay. This is the first 8-track I've ever bought. I of course have no way to play it but I'm sure I can get it converted to digital. I actually found the track list pretty interesting: Raised On Robbery Woodstock You Turn Me On, I'm A Radio Chelsea Morning California Carey Big Yellow Taxi The Circle Game Night In The City For Free (Titled here as "He Played Real Good For Free") So they feature a song from C&S but not her biggest hit. And no BSN, imagine that! Stay tuned. This is actually a piece of information that I wish the public had been given from an official source (whoever that is these days). It states in short terms what happened (she had a brain aneurysm) and what the current situation is (she has been moved from the hospital to a rehab facility). I don't see any deep privacy issues here. I would have preferred to have a more precise information right away which would have prevented those ridiculous "Morgellons" stories. Anyway, she appears to make progress which is good news. moni k. ------------------------------ End of JMDL Digest V2015 #52 **************************** ------- To post messages to the list, sendto joni@smoe.org Unsubscribe by clicking here: mailto:joni-digest-request@smoe.org?body=unsubscribe -------
