He was so warm and welcoming when I came on board in the Fall and I too felt we had a nice friendship and spoke often on line, though we never met. He shared wonderful insights and some personal stories regarding Joni that meant so much. Wasn't he just online a couple of days ago? I am so sorry for his family and for friends that were closer to him but I will miss Pat too. He was kind and generous. It seemed like he felt that she was a gift in his life. It seemed that he struggled to put that gift into context with the rest of his life. As if he wondered what it all meant. I never met him in person but he truly belonged to the clan and he will be missed.
