Of course, maybe he's not a literal murderer at all, but someone who hurts and destroys people, physically and/or emotionally, and gets away with it because he's rich. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "kbhla@fastmail.fm" To: joni@smoe.org; beatntrack@att.net Cc: Sent: Tuesday, July 29, 2014 10:32:02 PM Subject: Re: The Wolf that Lives in Lindsey Hi Dave, I really fell in love with this song when I heard Marian's incredible rendition of it at an early Jonifest and it has always intrigued me, too. I don't know who it is but have a real out there idea of whom it might be. Someone who is very well-loved and regarded, so I don't want to speculate. I like to think the lyrics, which could fit him, are full of metaphor. He doesn't really get away with murder in the literal sense, and he is not a real criminal, but rather a very free spirit who, through lots of kismet and serendipity, has always made his way and name through the whole scene.
