I remember posting about it here and then you got to see them shortly after that on the same tour. You sure had a brilliant conversational opener with "Sing a Song of Basie!" Mine was just a lo-fi CD of Court and Spark ;-) My date that night was a nice guy I met on the CSNY discussion list and he flipped over them, too! I later became a big fan of Kurt Elling in part because he had Jon Hendricks joining him on some of the songs on his early albums.
