I'm now less interested in a straightforward biography and more interested in getting a sense of the artist. The longitudinal element is very appealing. I have not pre-ordered anything for years. Being a friend of Joni's, the author would be unlikely to be sensationalist. Really, the music speaks for itself. A good book would be welcome. She was probably unable to stop her creativity, and because of the fact she could only be true to herself and not be as careful of sensible in the way that us mere mortals can be in our interactions with others, so she ended up with more complications in life than most of us would face. Even really sensible stars like Paul McCartney can make terrible life decisions. So everyday I thank God I only have minimal talent. I get to feel the captivation of Dawntreader anytime I like. I don't think she even allows herself to enjoy her music. > >I know this is an extreme fan question but what do you think?
