It is ridiculously cold here in Saskatchewan, what can I say. We are all whining and wondering if it's ever going to end. It's still snow-cold, is what I'm telling you. I had a chat with a couple American hunters today in the aisle of the grocery store in town, and while they were shocked at the temperature, they reported an unusually cold winter down in Florida too. All the migratory birds (the Americans are here to hunt snowbirds; we have flocks of them so large that the whole sky as far as you can see is filled with them; they don't call Saskatchewan the "land of living skies" for nothing; and yes, hunting in the spring is permitted; I enquired) seem to be back, and the frogs are a-croakin' in the slough behind my yard, so ... it must be spring. It just doesn't seem like it. No wonder Joni moved to California and also built on Vancouver Island. Not that I would, even if I could afford it, but I know many who would think that the life o' Riley. If this keeps up I might change my mind, though. Otherwise, you won't see me posting much to the list, but I do try to read as often as I can. Don't wanna miss the next Joni news! My response might make some wince. But, frankly, "Shine" didn't do anything for me. Add to that the fact that it was the last thing I gave Smurph (and it sort of defined that time), then I'd have to consider it my least favorite Joni album. lots of love,Anne ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 May 2014 07:49:59 +0100 (BST) From: "johnnybgoode@lineone.net" Subject: Re: CMIARS All, Regarding Taming the Tiger, it could be hybridised with The Tiger who came for Tea. see attached http://us6.campaign-archive2.com/?u=323597127dd1adc1e3e1dcea2&id=b9bd360513&e=acb2e9e71e However, the young audience could find "Sex Kills" confusing. I know it is heretical, but I've never really liked most of DJRD.
