I'm listening to a neuropharmacologist talk about the neuromuscular junction and this article posted here is about Joni and post-polio syndrome. People with post-polio syndrome are recommended to see a physician trained in neuromuscular junction disorders. 20 years ago in this article it sounded like Joni would be wheel chair bound by now. She's not but could be weak and easily fatigued, less obvious symptoms. Guess I'd better start paying closer attention to this speaker now.
